Raymond “Carl” Moody
Raymond “Carl” Moody, 85, loving husband of Kate Moody, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Born in Taylors, SC, he was a son of the late Henry and Nellie Moody Sr.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffery (Diane) Moody, Janice Moody and John (Audra) Moody; grandchildren, Michelle (Bobby) Key, Tyra Moody, Alyssa Moody and Madison Moody; great grandchildren, Alexander Key, Xavier Key and Isaiah Key.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ann Loftis Edwards and H.O. “Hank” Moody Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 North Main Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Kate we are to hear of Carl’s passing. We will remember the good times that Carl, Dan Davis and I had together for many years growing up. He was part of our wedding 68 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and the family.
