Dorothy “Dottie” Lee Hudgins
Dorothy “Dottie” Lee Hudgins, 83, of Simpsonville, loving wife of James “Jim” Hudgins Sr. for 63 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Born in Simpsonville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Elton and Essie Burgess.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Jerry (Cindy) Williams and Jimmy Hudgins Jr.; grandson, Jacob (Marlena) Williams and a loving cousin, Ted Dillard.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Hudgins.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 North Main Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 7th, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville. Interment will take place in the Simpsonville Municipal Cemetery following the service.

Dottie was a legendary florist. Condolences to her family.
Prayers for the family and her many friends. I remember Dottie from our days following The music of Johnny Meek at fiddlers conventions VFW’s and many other places where Johnny performed. Rest in peace Dottie it was always a pleasure and a joy to be in your presence.
