Andy spent most of his life in the Charlotte, NC area and he was famous for his offbeat sense of humor and love of music. In celebration of that love and his life, the family invites you to one more rock concert for Andy the evening of the service, at the Gallery 85 Venue, 8 Whitlee Ct, Greenville, SC 29607, beginning at 6:00 pm. Please grab your friends and pack your drink cooler for an Andy-style party.
I am so very sorry to hear about Andy’s passing. He really was a very kind and very good man. I went to Smith Jr. High and Olympic High School with Andy. We were always in the same home room class because my last name starts with a V too. I will never forget him telling me that people whose names start with the letter V always stick together. I will always remember him as being very kind and funny.
Andy’s definitiVely one of a kind, and a kind one… captured so well Mr. Vita. He always had that warmth, and realism about him, while creating a new mold, without breaking the old one. Each day was a new venture he made full use of, and shared iwith those lucky, blessed, and loved to have been a part of. An honor
I am proud to work his service as an rememerbence to his life. What a kind and loving family I have met serving you. I wish I could have met him. Thank you for selecting Cannon-Byrd funeral home. Phil Clemmer.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of my favorite Cousin Andy. He is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met and I will always remember his humor. Andy was more than a cousin, we were the same age and had many similar experiences growing up through the 70’s. He was like a brother, confidant and partner in crime, haunted houses, and rock and roll. Sorry I can be there this weekend as I am on the other side of the planet at this moment, but I was looking at a beautiful full moon on the night you passed away and will remember you fondly to the Moon and back. 💔
